Cherries LA by Tenerelli Orchards opened its first pick-your-own cherry orchard in 2023 in the Antelope Valley high desert about an hour northeast of Los Angeles. Visitors can pick three varieties of sweet cherries plus apricots during a short season that runs from early June into the first week of July, with reservations required since space is limited. The family farm uses natural growing practices, including pheromone traps and mating disruption instead of conventional pesticides, though it is not certified organic.
