Sara's Blueberries is a long-running blueberry farm southwest of Hillsboro in Washington County, in business since 1978. Visitors can pick their own blueberries from a clean, plentiful field with five varieties, or order ready-picked berries in advance. Containers are provided, children are welcome, and there's a shady picnic area plus farm animals to visit. Cash or checks only — no credit cards. Hours are limited (Saturdays or by appointment in season), so call the crop-availability recording at (503) 649-6000 before heading out.
