October Days is an annual fall tradition at Washington Fruit Place at Barrett Orchards, a fifth-generation farm in the Yakima Valley. Every weekend in October, the farm hosts harvest festivities centered on its just-picked apples and pears, including cider pressing days where visitors can press their own fresh cider, hayrides, farm activities, and a farm store packed with seasonal fruit, artisan foods, and gifts. Special weekend programming includes line dance lessons, pumpkin painting, farm scavenger hunts, and holiday baked goods. The farm is open Thursdays through Sundays throughout October.
