Meyer Peach Orchard is a family farm on Center Street NE in east Salem, in the family since 1926 and growing peaches since 1978. The early-summer season opens with u-pick loganberries around mid-June and boysenberries in late June to early July, followed by two peach varieties: Red Havens in late July (a very short window) and Veterans in early August for about two weeks, available u-pick or pre-picked. A small legacy apple orchard grows heritage varieties like Spitzenburg and King. During harvest the farm is typically open daily with varying hours, closing periodically while fruit ripens and on days above 90 degrees F.
