Held the last full weekend of April in The Dalles — heart of one of the nation's biggest sweet-cherry regions — the Northwest Cherry Festival marked its 45th year in 2026 with a reimagined downtown format. The Saturday GREAT Cherry Adventure brings a 10am parade, kids' activity fair, classic car show, quilt show, and live music to downtown, while a three-day carnival runs at Lewis & Clark Festival Park. A month-long Cherry Hunt scavenger hunt and window-decorating contest run through April, capped by the Cherry Stomp Dance and royalty coronation.
