Held since 1966 in the heart of the Willamette Valley's hop-growing country, Mt. Angel Oktoberfest is a four-day German/Swiss harvest folk festival drawing roughly 350,000 visitors. Streets fill with oompah and polka music, traditional food booths, arts and crafts, a car show, and fun runs. Most of the festival is free to enter; only the Biergarten, Weingarten, and Alpinegarten premium entertainment venues charge admission.
